Snoring and Sleep Disorders

Is snoring keeping you or your partner up at night? Did you know that there is a dental solution to this problem? Don't let snoring and sleep disorders ruin your night.

Snoring and Sleep Disorders

Snoring & Sleep Disordered Breathing

At Waldron & Lee Dentistry, we care about more than just your smile—we’re committed to your overall health. Sleep-Disordered Breathing (SDB) includes a range of conditions, from habitual snoring to Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), in which the airway becomes partially or fully blocked during sleep. This can lead to interrupted breathing, poor-quality rest, and increased risk for serious health issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic fatigue, and even dementia.

Customized Oral Appliance Therapy

Waldron & Lee Dentistry offers customized oral appliance therapy—a comfortable, non-invasive and effective dental treatment for snoring, SDB and OSA. It is also excellent for individuals who cannot tolerate the CPAP machine or CPAP users looking for a travel-friendly or backup solution (ideal for camping, hunting, or power outages). You will sleep better, breathe easier, and live healthier.

These small, FDA-approved appliances are custom-fit and worn during sleep to gently reposition the jaw and tongue to help keep your airway open. They have a high success rate in reducing snoring and breathing interruptions that keep you from feeling rested. The “boil and bite” appliances are uncomfortable, bulky, and not proven to work therapeutically. So, if you have tried these before and they did not work for you that does not mean you are not a candidate for an oral appliance!

Common signs of sleep disordered breathing:

  • Loud, frequent snoring
  • Gasping, choking, or pauses in breathing during sleep
  • Daytime fatigue or fogginess
  • Morning headaches or dry mouth
  • Difficulty concentrating or memory issues
